The seller: art-moderne (159), Power seller, Beverly Hills, CA, USA. Feedback Score: 159:
1) ORIGINAL PICASSO SIGNED GOUACHE PAINTING w/ PROVENANCE
This auction is for a striking and beautiful water-based GOUACHE PAINTING of one of Picasso's most popular subjects during his time in the south of France in the 1940s and 50s: namely, a faun, in this case playing a flute. This subject has appeared in a number of other paintings, drawings and lithographs by the great artist over the years.
The background color is a vivid yellow gouache with the lines of the faun sketched with the brush in black gouache paint. 2) The brush-signed SIGNATURE, "Picasso", attributed to Pablo Ruiz Picasso, (1881-1973), is in the same black gouache paint. The painting was removed from its frame for examination and photography and has been re-framed as shown. It will ship to the winning bidder in the frame.
The paper size is: 10 1/2" x 8 1/8". The size of the frame (outer dimensions) is: 23" x 20 1/2". The paper is quite old but in GOOD CONDITION apart from the two dog-eared corners on the right side. This is an ORIGINAL PAINTING and NOT a litho, print or other reproduction.
3) There is PROVENANCE for this work. Serious bidders are invited to e-mail us for this information. This is a NO RESERVE auction with a very reasonable start price for a painted work of this kind.
Please view our other VINTAGE and ORIGINAL fine-art auctions on eBay this week, featuring works by the great European artists of the early to mid 20th century.

I'm an art consultant and you see my work in www.amorarte.it, a web site that i founded and where you can find outline of the contemporary italian art in rome about artists, exhibitions, galleries, memories, discussion and publishing trade. Artwork of one of the more important italian artists, absolutely genuine, guarantees the authenticity being responsible of that i put in auction! The work is signed. These works amount to high quotations in the more important world-wide houses of auction like: vincent, sotheby' s, christies, finarte. Being an auction i start from a low price, naturally the artwork will have to amount an adequate quotation, otherwise will have to withdraw the artwork from the auction. I confide in your artistic competence.
Prefere private collector and i direct these artworks to the nort-america and australia.

I am retiring and selling my collection of artwork that I have spent a lifetime carefully selecting. Over the next 2 or 3 months, I will be selling on eBay a number of lithos, prints and drawings that I acquired in Europe from reputable art dealers in the 60's and 70's.
I've owned this particular Matisse drawing since 1973, when it was originally purchased from a Berlin art dealer.

artfakes.dk:
You are a lier! This drawing has NOTHING to do with Matisse. And you know that.
This is a child's five dollar drawing.
