This offering is for an authenticated original oil on canvas titled "Girl With Dog" by the Master Paul Gauguin painted during the artist's Tahitian period. Also included in this auction lot is an original Gauguin oil painting on rice paper that is the authenticated work on Paul Gauguin. It is attached on the reverse side of the advertised and offered canvas. This second painting, also from the Tahitian period, depicts two women standing. The provenance included in this catalog does not mention nor clarify the events that resulted in the paintings attachment. The successful bidder will have the benefit of this circumstance, receiving two original authentic paintings by the Master painter Paul Gauguin.
